Incident Procedure

Red Alert – EMERGENCY

Possibly shut down the party dependent on the ferocity of the incident and call emergency services where necessary – ALL crew to be informed

Incident

Action

Alleged Sexual Assault / Alleged Rape

  • ‘Alleged Victim’ to be separated from the party.
  • Same sex crew member to be present, comforting where possible.
  • ‘Alleged Victim’ to determine what course of action they wish us to take
  • Confidentiality amongst crew is PARAMOUNT if this incident is reported
  • If guest request that the police be informed, then Security / Helen / Tasha to facilitate this
  • Helen / Tasha to inform venue owner
  • Crew to cordon off the incident location
  • Crew to ensure NO other guests enter where the victim is
  • Crew to stand outside to meet Emergency Services
  • Crew to accompany Emergency Services to the incident
  • Remaining guests are NOT allowed to leave the party until the police give instruction for them to do so

Drowning

  • Guest to be removed from the pool and first aider to deal with the incident until the Emergency Services arrive
  • Security / Helen / Tasha to call for the Emergency services
  • Crew to stand outside to meet Emergency Services
  • Crew to accompany Emergency Services to the incident
  • Helen / Tasha to inform venue owner
  • Crew to cordon off the incident location
  • Confidentiality is PARAMOUNT if this incident is reported.
  • Guests are NOT allowed to leave the party until the police give instruction for them to do so

Medical issue

  • Security / First Aider to try to assess the medical issue and locate the guests medication if available
  • Crew to locate friend / partner - if they attended the party together - to assess medical history
  • If necessary Security / Helen / Tasha to call for the Emergency services
  • Crew to stand outside to meet Emergency Services
  • Crew to accompany Emergency Services to the incident
  • First Aider to try to deal with the incident until theemergency services arrive
  • Helen / Tasha to inform venue owner
 Death
  • Crew to cordon off the incident location if warranted (in the case of death)
  • Confidentiality is PARAMOUNT if this incident is reported
  • Dependent on the severity, then guests are NOT allowed toleave the party until the police give instruction for them to do so

Fire

  • Crew to ensure that ALL guests safely evacuate the area where they are located (ie DJ – Dance-Floor, Bar Staff – Bar Area , Stair Crew – Loft, General Crew -Everywhere else!!)
  • Security / Helen / Tasha to call emergency services
  • Crew to stand outside to meet Emergency Services
  • Helen / Tasha to inform venue owner
  • Crew to ensure that they do NOT put their own lives at risk
  • Crew to try to reduce panicking amongst guests
  • Crew to gather guests in the Assembly Points
  • Ensure guests DO NOT re-enter the venue until the emergency services allow us to

Fight (including Assault on Crew)

  • ALL Security crew to attend the incident
  • Dependent on the severity, security to assess the situation and either deal with it internally by removing guest(s) or involve the emergency services
  • Security / Helen / Tasha to call emergency services
  • Crew to stand outside to meet Emergency Services
  • Crew to accompany Emergency Services to the incident
  • First Aider to try to deal with the incident until the emergency services arrive
  • Helen / Tasha to inform venue owner
  • Crew to cordon off the incident location if warranted
  • Confidentiality is PARAMOUNT if this incident is reported
  • Dependent on the severity, then guests are NOT allowed to leave the party until the police give instruction for them to do so. Guests are NOT allowed to leave if police informed

Amber Alert

2 Crew (one MUST be Security) to deal with the incident, assess ferocity and remove guest from the party / call police to deal with the theft (in the case of theft, the guest MUST make the decision and make the call)

Action

Abusive guests

  • Security to assess severity of the abuse and if necessary remove the guest immediately
  • If not removed, Guest to be reminded of the BMFC Etiquette and warned that their behavior may result in them being removed from the party
  • Crew must inform each other of guests poor behavior (giving description of the guest, clothes etc if name not known)
  • Helen / Tasha to be informed
  • If they have been warned before, then SECURITY to remove the guest(s) and Helen / Tasha informed

Alleged Theft

  • Guest to be reminded that the BMFC clearly stated we do not accept responsibility for guests valuables
  • If guest wishes to report the alleged theft to the police then it is THEIR responsibility to do so

Casual Alert

1 crew (Security) to deal with the incident, give warning or remove guest if necessary
